As the only Major United States City Conceived by a woman Miami has a special place in american culture. It truly is the New York of the South a melting pot of cultures and peoples creating one eponymous whole.
It is also unlike everywhere its individual parts, citizens and influences hail from. In short It is Miami a city that has been in existence since 500 BC yet only recognized once it absorbed the European settlers into its tapestry. It has survived storms of ice, water, wind, and politics.
It is always a New City waiting to happen and an older city outlasting its peers. It is a city where the night though fleeting controls every facet of living. Its master holds an iron grasp and refuses to relinquish her hold. She is a firebrand washed in the tried and true using what is known as such a weapon to handicap any who would oppose her in short she is a contradiction in the flesh even as much as she is a visionary.
